Dr. 1月英语 Lueck is a 教授 of Anthropology and a Distinguished Fellow at the Institute for the Future. English-Lueck has written ethnographies about cultural futures ranging from California’s alternative healers to China’s scientists. 作为创始人之一 的 硅谷 Cultures Project, she has been looking at the connection between work and everyday life in the Valley 二十年来. Jan is also the author of several books on 硅谷 including Cultures@SiliconValley, winner 的 American  Anthropological Association’s 2006 Diana Forsythe Prize for the anthropology of science and technology, and is working on a second edition. She is also the co-author of Busier than Ever! Why American Families can’t Slow Down (with Charles Darrah and 詹姆斯•弗里曼), and the author of Being and Well-being: Health and the Working Bodies of 硅谷.  From 2011-2015 she served as Associate Dean and Interim Dean in the College of Social 科学s, applying her anthropological perspective to institutional issues.  她是 President 的 Southwestern Anthropological Association (2004-2005), and serves as President 的 American Anthropological Association’s Society for the Anthropology of Work (2015-present).
